Webflow Designer
My journey in the creative field began in high school, where I studied Visual Arts. While I enjoyed the artistic freedom, I soon faced a dilemma: I wanted to do more than just create art. I didn't want my success to be solely guided by creativity but also by hard work that could ultimately lead to improvements in people's lives.
This realization led me to design. Design, as I see it, is about solving problems and making everyday life easier and more beautiful. It was the perfect blend of creativity and practicality that I had been searching for.
I pursued a degree in Communication Design at the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. However, even in this environment, I felt something was off. Editorial Design, the focus of much of my studies, seemed like a dying field. I worried about the challenges I might face in finding work in such a competitive area.
However, everything changed with a course unit called Design Technologies. This introduced me to the exciting intersection of design and technology—fields that touch everyone’s daily lives. It was a game-changer. I realized that combining these two disciplines could be the future I was looking for. This sparked my passion for No/Low Code Development, where I could blend my design skills with the power of technology.
After two rewarding years working as a UI/UX Designer and Webflow Developer in Portugal, I felt the need for new challenges and better opportunities. This desire led me to the Netherlands. The first months, or nearly the first year, were tough. Adapting to a new country, a new culture, and a new way of life was challenging, but I was determined.
My perseverance paid off when I joined Miyagami, a company where I work alongside a talented team of designers and developers. The learning experience has been incredible, and I feel more fulfilled than ever. Here, I’ve found a place where I can continue to grow, merging design and technology in ways that make a real difference.
But new challenges await, my love for the technology path is ever-growing. While I will never forget my roots in design, I want to focus more on Software Development—a field that fascinates me. I believe that, alongside Miyagami, I can grow and make an impact in this exciting area.
